The Grill on the Corner

Glasgow is the 3rd largest city in the United Kingdom. In 1939 Glasgow had 114 cinemas, (more than any other city in the world). In 1990 it was European City of Culture - way before Stockholm, Madrid, Lisbon and Copenhagen etc. Glasgow's John Logie Baird invented the telly here, it boasts the country's first teaching hospital; Cunard is Glaswegian, so is Mackintosh (both), Paisley, Wallace and, of course the inimitable Billy Connolly.

So why you might ask did the GRILL ON THE CORNER, with its produce-driven menu boasting freshly prepared mouth-watering dishes not open until Monday 23rd April 2007 when the city is so obviously a happening locale?

Good Question!?
